FP troll. He didn't respond to me after I threw some facts at him, he's just an ignorant troll that escaped from Youtube. Probably some British kid.

There's only two ways that "shit" and "Ford GT" can fit in the same sentence.
"The Ford GT is the shit."
"The Ford GT shits on Ferrari all day."

Unfortunately.

Typical response will be a similar mash-up of "derp" and "trololol".
Ignorance isn't bliss, it's stupid.

It's funny because even though the GT40 was built in Britain, the first version was horrid. The GT40 only won after Ford shipped the cars to Carroll Shelby to fix the British engineers' mistakes.

You handled that really well. I always get far too angry on the internet especially when it comes to my cars, political beliefs, and state pride. I had to control myself this morning when there was a post about Texan politics this morning. Good on ya.

I've thought about it but I don't feel like it would serve any purpose and he might call me out as being biased (which I am but I don't want him to know that).

On the inside I just want to see his face. If this argument was taking place in real life, then you'd just invite him to come outside to the parking lot, then point at your car.
Golden.

Apparently he's driven one:

I have no clue how he couldn't fit in one. I'm 6'5'' (or was when I was younger) and fit fine.

Then how can he fit in a GT40?!?! You mentioned that in your comment.
You also mentioned you like the DBS more than the V12 Vantage?!?!
I... disagree on that one.
I can't wait so hear what he says next.

CAcoalminer

Well I've owned a DBS before so I'm a bit biased. Haha. Needless to say, both are great automobiles.
I can't either.
Brian Silvestro
> CAcoalminer
05/28/2014 at 19:39 | 0 |
The only things that really bother me about the DBS is the way they made the hood look, there's just too much holes and such (I also prefer the V8 Vantage hood to the V12) and those amber reflectors/turn signals inside the headlight housings. Just seemed out of place. Otherwise, it seems like an ultimate manual-transmissioned V12 cruiser.
CAcoalminer

05/28/2014 at 19:46 | 0 |
I agree. The number of "vents" did seem a bit excessive. Haha
The joy it brought me on long trips is monumental. What a great car. Also, unlike some other cars that I've owned, I always felt like people admired the car rather than scowling at it.

That's the real reason why Astons are so special. There just so...classy. Nothing crazy. Just pure elegance. That's why I think they went a little over the top with the new Vanquish, too much carbon bits. Trying to make it more hardcore than what it's supposed to be.
The DB9 is probably one of the most beautiful cars on sale right now!
CAcoalminer
> Brian Silvestro
05/28/2014 at 19:57 | 0 |
I completely agree. I remember seeing the new Vanquish for the first time at its Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance debut and thinking how much of a departure it was from its predecessors. Thankfully, the new DB9 is understated and quite gorgeous.
I wonder what the eventual Vantage replacement will look like.
Brian Silvestro
> CAcoalminer
05/28/2014 at 19:59 | 0 |
I really hope it doesn't go in the same direction as the V12 Vantage S. That's another over the top thing. It should be introduced sometime soon as long as Aston doesn't run out of money.
That would be heartbreaking.
CAcoalminer

05/28/2014 at 20:08 | 0 |
Yeah I've been watching their developments with bated breath. What do you think about a possible AMG, Aston merger?
Brian Silvestro
> CAcoalminer
05/28/2014 at 20:17 | 0 |
I think it could only help at this point. As long as they keep making V12s and manual transmissioned cars, I'm all for it. It'll at least keep me asleep at night, knowing that Aston will live.
